What is happening at the V&A Waterfront this spring?

Fling off your winter coat and get to the V&A Waterfront to discover unique and experiences guaranteed to get you into the spirit of spring.

From September 3 until the end of November, various experiences and offers will be highlighted at South Africa’s most visited tourism destination. Each week, one of these experiences will be shared on the V&A Waterfront’s digital platforms and weekly prizes will be given away to a person who interacts with the @V&AWaterfront account on Twitter on the campaign.

The Donald Greig Art Gallery and Foundry is offering a free guided tour of the Foundry every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 11am. Besides a private tour for two people by the artist himself, the winner will also receive a signed book and a piece of bronze artwork.

The Two Ocean’s Aquarium is offering a 90-minute Marine-Eco Tour with a marine biologist on-board, for R180 or R90 per child under the age of 12. The prize includes a 90-minute Marine-Eco Tour with a marine biologist on board and tickets to the Two Oceans Aquarium for two people.

Get back into shape with AWOL City Cycle Tours, who are offering a three-hour, guided tour of the CBD for R300 per person. The winner of this prize will receive a four day AWOL easy cycling experience and accommodation.

Other experiences are an introduction to whisky tasting at the Cape Grace’s Bascule Bar, a tour of the Cape Town Diamond Museum, a beer tasting at Den Anker, a Victorian Hot Towel shave at Mr Cobbs, discounted entry to the Maritime Museum with the chance of winning free tickets to the Planetarium, discounted entry to Chavonne’s Battery Museum, Scuba Diving in the Two Oceans Aquarium Kelp Forest at R625.00 p.p. (non-member with Aquarium gear) including a Shoreline Café Coffee voucher.

The Table Bay Hotel is offering the Cooking with Fynbos experience day package including a trip to the Baskloof Private Nature Reserve and a five-course tasting menu.

We would like to encourage locals and residents to try something new – as the saying goes, a change is as good as a holiday,” said Chantelle Cole, V&A Waterfront’s Executive Manager of Strategic Marketing. “Forget about spring cleaning the house – get some spring in your step instead.”
