We have another Cape Town Blogger interview for you.
This time it is Andria Mackinnon with her blog http://andriaanswers.blogspot.com/.
1. Can you tell us a little about yourself?
I am 18 years old.
I live in Cape Town.
I love to blog about, mostly, events I have been to.
I have been featured in quite a few magazines.
My goal in life is to become an actress.
2. How you first got involved in with blogging?
I started blogging on the Seventeen Magazine website. I am an Urban Scout and I started writing my very first blog last year, near February, from then I started to blog about all kinds of stuff.
3. What do you find most challenging about blogging about your topic?
Will I finish on time? I ask that question because when I attended an event say in March, then I only post it in May, that means I only posted it 2 months after the event I attended, which to me, makes it pointless to read. I also think of all the possible details from the topic I am blogging about. Is my blog good enough for readers to be interested in my blogs?
4. Tell me about some of the people you’ve met while working on your blog?
I have met many famous people, from radio presenters to singers, I have met quite a few people. I recently attended KDay and I have met all the presenters from 94.5 KFM. Some of the singers I have met are: The SoapGirls, Locnville, GOODLUCK, Elvis Blue, Natasha Meister, The Graeme Watkins Project and Ross from the band Prime Circle.
Meeting all these people have been such an amazing experience, they are all very kind people and are a lot of fun to be around. I couldn’t believe when I attended KDay, most of the KFM presenters knew who I was.
5. How would (someone) describe your blogging style?
My blogging isn’t professionally formal, it is informal, but I do not swear in any of my blogs.
6. What do you do when you aren’t working on your blog?
I am in Grade: 12, so when I am not blogging, I am either busy with school work, hanging out with friends, attending events, updating things on Facebook and Twitter or I am on a road trip.
7. What networking do you do that you feel helps your blogging business?
Facebook and Twitter.
8. How do you keep coming up with material/content for your blog?
When I listen to a song and it isn’t a Single or it doesn’t have a music video, I normally write down an idea for a music video for that particular song. I normally think of what I should blog about before I get started. If I attend a event, then I write down ideas etc. on that day.
9. Where do you go for news and information online?
I don’t normally look at news on the Internet and I do not have a particular website I go to everyday.
The website’s I check are normally one’s I have seen through Google search. It can be iol.co.za, dailymail.co.UK etc.
10. Everyone has a favorite/least favorite post. Name yours and why?
My favorite blog is hard to choose from. I like most of all my blogs, I find them very satisfying and exciting.
My least favorite blog would have to be “My Review of the new Locnville “Running to Midnight” Album.”. It isn’t a blog I dislike, I am just not satisfied with everything I wrote. I gave a summary for the review of the album and not letting you know what I thought of each song track on the album. Ironically, it is the most viewed blog on my blog page, yet it isn’t my favorite blog.
