Things Money Can Buy (but it can’t buy you style)

Are you born rich?
Are you born rich?

Today while I was googleing for some work related information (yes, really) I stumbled over an interesting website.

As strange as it seems I do usually not spend much time on websites if they do not provide the information I am looking for.

For my daily news I rely on RSS feeds and a handful of news websites. I do not do much of entertainment surfing on the web. Maybe because I am spending too much time during the day in front of my PC already.

So the website that caught my eye is called “Born Rich – Home of Luxury and Most Expensive things”. OK, easy to spot: I am not the target group. Read more Things Money Can Buy (but it can’t buy you style)

How to convert a video like a pro

Convert videos

I have asked Cape Town Active for the privilege of being allowed to guest blog so I can “plug” a FREE download I recently found and used – I assure you that I am not getting any reward for doing this – I‘m sure the Software/web site folks I’m writing about don’t even know I exist but I am so pleased that I felt compelled to share this unsolicited “review” on as many platforms as possible.

First, a very brief background on the situation.

To make a long story short, I wanted to put together a video message for my mom (aww how sweet).

The problem was the video clips were taken with an i-Phone (love, love, love my i-Phone) and I wanted to embed them into an MS Powerpoint slide show, sounds more boring than it is, I swear it’s a fun slide show and my mom will love it!   Read more How to convert a video like a pro

An ipad game tip “The Room”

The Room
The Room

I am not much of a gamer, but this one really got me hooked. It is called “The Room” and me and my girlfriend were attached to it until we solved the whole game.

It is a bit addictive. Beside of this it is beautiful designed and has a scary background music. What is the game about? Well, basically it is a sort of puzzle where you have to solve tasks on a secret machine.

And you really need to stretch your brain. Read more An ipad game tip “The Room”

The day Google died

The day Google died.
The day Google died.

We all love Google. Don’t we? Well, some might love Google more, some less. But some of us lately started to hate Google. I am talking about people who have online businesses, online shopping pages, affiliate websites etc.

People who make a living from being on the first page of Google with their  keywords. Now I must admit I am among these people. Not with Cape Town Active, but with a range of websites dealing with other topics.

And it is not only me that got paid from this. Nope. Almost 50 South Africans get their monthly salary from those web sites mainly due to the search result of Google as most  of the clients find us there. Read more The day Google died
