- Receptionist: “Claus, there is a lady for you at the reception who wants to speak with you”
- Me: “I am not aware of having a meeting… ask her what she wants”
- Receptionist: “You better check yourself”
- Me: “OK, on my way.”

While on the way our admins where already checking what was happening there and some looked at me in a strange way…

Department of Home Affairs does not obey court orders

The Sunday Times published an article yesterday with the headline: “Don’t bother taking the Department of Home Affairs to court – it simply does not obey court orders.”

That’s the message before the high court in Cape Town two contempt applications against the department’s director-general, Mkuseki Apleni, who stands accused of operation above the law.

Seems that the Department of Home Affairs has some hard times coming up.
