Cape Town, November 16th, 2017 – Tickets for South Africa’s most elegant horseracing event, the L’Ormarins Queen’s Plate Racing Festival – to take place at Kenilworth Racecourse, Cape Town, from Friday to Saturday, 5-6 January, 2018 – go on sale at Computicket, today from 12pm.

This will be the second year that the event takes place over two days. On Friday, a limited number of guests will be able to experience the LQP Garden Party (R 500 per person) complete with bottomless L’Ormarins MCC, Heineken-on-tap, a harvest table, live jazz and access to the racing. This is probably the best value ticket of the weekend as it also entitles guests to access the famous Style Lounge Village on the second day of the festival. Rare and exceptional items going under the hammer at 2017 Barrels & Beards

Whether you grunt, shout or simply tip your hat like a pro in the back corner of the room, you’ll want to bring your A-Game on April 22 to the hairiest auction in town. The 2017 Best of Bot is an annual highlight of the Barrels & Beards winelands showcase in Bot River that once again offers some of the coolest, unusual and desirable items – all on sale to the highest bidder for a most worthy cause.
Funds raised at the Best of Bot Auction will be used where they are needed the most: to improve the lives of children through various school-level educational projects in the region.

“Barrels & Beards is a great celebration. At the same time, it’s an opportunity to build our community where education is an absolute priority,” says Kobie Viljoen, Chairperson of the Bot River Vineyards Association.
