The 2015 Clipper Round the World Race will dock at the V&A Waterfront this evening and will be in Cape Town until 31 October.
The stopover will add to the fun and festivities of the South African Ocean Festival brought to you by SAMSA and Calulo.
The Clipper Round the World Yacht Race is the world’s longest ocean adventure and is also regarded as one of the toughest endurance challenges on the planet. At 40,000 nautical miles long and taking almost a year to complete, it consists of twelve teams competing against each other on the world’s largest matched fleet of 70-foot ocean racing yachts.
Head down to Quay 6 and Jetty 2 to experience all that the Ocean Festival has to offer and see the Clipper boats. You can expect loads of fun including music, kids activities, ocean content and other exciting events.
