Cape Town has much to offer and no place is more famous for events than the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront. The world-renowned mall sits on the fringe of the Cape, meeting the sea, and giving a beautiful view of the mountains and grasslands.
Shops of every kind and of every range can be found through the vast complex, which also stays open until late. But as a venue, plenty of functions are and can be held here, providing high class environment, easy parking and the natural beauty of the Cape.
The world’s largest multi-sport’s festival, Corporate Games, for businesses and organisations will be taking place at the Waterfront. From the 5-8 June 2014, the event will allow everyone to participate in fun sports events that can help with solidarity and build fitness at the same time. As the official event listing states:
“The multi-sports festival will see every day athletes representing large and small companies, organisations, clubs and institutions competing in sports ranging from golf, soccer, tag rugby, running, netball and dragon boat racing to name a few.”
According to the official website, thousands of organisations are represented in the games. Participants are invited to explore the Waterfront and its locales, and to stay in whichever Waterfront or Cape Town Hotels are available.
The world-renowned chef, Reuben Riffel, will be hosting a spectacular mouth-focused tour de force at the dazzling hotel One & Only. From 11 June and five days ending in 16 October 2014, Riffel and some of South Africa’s top wineland chefs will provide guests with the most amazing meals to be found. Guests enjoy a four course meal, for R345pp, and each time will be a different theme. For example, ‘East meets West’, ‘Seasonal and Organic’, ‘Flavours of the Cape’ and ‘Grass Fed and Free Range’.
The chefs will regale with anecdotes and insightful stories about how the meals came to be and the notion of taste. Wine, too, will be paired with meals to enhance the taste further.
There is plenty to see and do all over the Cape, but almost nowhere else will you find a combination of class and style, this rich or expansive.
