Entries are now open for one of the most authentic and eagerly-anticipated events on the local mountain bike (MTB) calendar, the Slanghoek Mountain2Mountain MTB Classic. Taking place on Saturday, 12 October 2013 mountain bikers are spoilt for choice with a fun 13km route, a more serious 33km route and a challenging 63km route. The event forms part of the annual Breedekloof Festival.
According to Pieter Du Plessis, Route Director, mountain bikers can look forward to a fun day out on route. “With three different routes to choose from, the Slanghoek Mountain2Mountain MTB Classic caters for mountain bikers of all fitness levels. Participants can look forward to experiencing the true beauty of the Slanghoek Valley in a fun way. Family and friends can also join in on the fun, there will be award winning wines on offer at the Festival Village, as well as food stalls, a secure kids area with activities and live entertainment,” says Du Plessis.

Registration will take place on the day between 06:00 – 07:30. An additional R20 will be applicable for late entries. The Slanghoek Mountain2Mountain MTB Classic is a sanctioned CSA event. Please bring proof of your CSA license or R35 for a temporary day license.
