As I have a dog (Rhodesian Ridgeback) I walk a lot with him in the nature. I walk with him an average of 50 to 60km a week. Therefore
I have walked a lot of hiking trails in the Western Cape.

Some of my favorites are the Silvermine Walk, Constantia Nek, Pipe Track, Alphen and Diep River Trail, Tokai Forrest, Rocket Road and the Beaches in Noordhoek and Milnertons Woodbridge Island.

Not everywhere are dogs allowed, so one needs to know where you can take him with you. I have some books that give you the information and some more details of the hiking tracks.
One of it is called “Walks with a Fat Dog… Great Hikes & Walks in The Western Cape“. I can really recommend it. Please find some more trails in the Western Cape here.

During the week I walk my dog at the De Waal Park in Cape Town. This is a dog heaven and you will always find other dog owners there.

Below you find some photos of the walks and areas. You will see how great the Western Cape Nature is.
