Pilgrim walks in Emilia-Romagna

The Via Francigena runs from Canterbury Cathedral in the south-east of Great Britain via France and Switzerland to St Peter's Basilica in Rome.

The St. Francis' way leads from Sant'Ellero near Florence to Assisi and then Rome, passing through Tuscany, Umbria and Lazio.

On the Way of St. Francis, we will go on pilgrimage to the saint's places of activity and experience the countryside of Tuscany and Umbria. The destination of our journey is Assisi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site thanks to its churches, medieval townscape and fortifications.

The Via degli Abati is an itinerary of about 190 km, which is divided into eight stages through the regions of Lombardy, Emilia Romagna and Tuscany.

The Via Francigena is an itinerary in 79 stages, about 1800 km long, starting in Canterbury, England and ending in Rome. The Italian section starts at the Great St. Bernard Pass and develops in 45 stages.
