Mountaineering in South Tyrol

The peaks of the Jakobspitze and the Tagewaldhorn lie in the middle of the Sarntal Alps. The landscape is extremely unspoilt and wild. The mountain tour to both peaks offers all the attributes of an impressive mountain experience. The summit ascent over the ridge to the Jakobspitze and the descent to the Flaggerschartenhütte (formerly Marburger Hütte) require surefootedness and a head for heights. The ascent to the Tagewaldhorn is somewhat strenuous and steep in the last section. The small and very cosy Flaggerschartenhütte is an ideal base and invites you to take a longer break.

Demanding mountain tour to the only refuge of the Latemar – the Rifugio Torre di Pisa, which is enthroned at 2671 m high in the Latemar peaks.

A good 1100 metres of ascent to the Riepenscharte and around 120 metres of descent to the hut take us through different worlds in around 4 hours. At the bottom the forest and the lovely greenery, at the top we reach a rocky desert with marvellous views. That's about 4 hours of mountain hiking in two national parks, which is well worth it.

The crossing of the western Rieserferner main ridge offers two mighty three-thousand metre peaks, Magerstein and Schneebige Nock, as well as interesting rock and snow passages.

Long and steep circular tour to a fantastic panoramic mountain high above the South Tyrolean lowlands. The narrow paths and the short via ferrata make the tour a challenging undertaking at a relatively low altitude and therefore accessible at an early stage.
