This crossing of the Wank is possible all year round. In winter, there are times when the mountain railway is not in operation, when the tour is particularly rewarding, as there are significantly fewer people on the extremely popular Wank.

Ideal for short winter days! From the village of Spitzingsee via the Albert-Link-Hütte to the Stolzenberg. This is a moderately difficult winter hike, which unfortunately only offers views of Spitzingsee to the north and the main Alpine ridge to the south from the summit, obscured by trees. Surefootedness required!
