Stone walls - Guided hiking tour
Organized hiking
· Haute-Maurienne-Vanoise
How about discussing history and cultural heritage while hiking in the mountains? Our walk will take us through enchanting panoramas, outstanding geology and flora, but also human landmarks thousands or years old.
Let the stones speak!
The village of Aussois sits on a natural barrier of hard rocks, spared and shaped by ancient glaciers. Here is a land full of character, which our forebears turned into lime kilns, fortifications, dams... and a fabulous medium for artistic expression in protohistoric times.
We will visit the new Espace des Gravures rupestres of Fort Victor-Emmanuel on our way to the Parc archéologique des Lozes, where the last rays of sunlight will best reveal the age-old engravings.
