OENORANDO® DES BALCONS D'ALIGNAN DU VENT

This itinerary leads from Le Travers, with a fantastic panoramic view of the valley and wine villages.

• From the Cave Coopérative, cross Rue de la Guissaume again, then cross the parking lot. Turn left into rue des Aires. At the road, turn right and, at the crossroads, continue straight ahead on the D 125. At the next junction, turn left towards Roujan, drive about 20 m, then turn right. Continue straight ahead on rue des Jardins, then right on rue dePuech Troupan until you reach the road.
• Turn left along the vineyards for approx. 700 m. At the crossroads, turn right and reach a fork in the road. Go left for approx. 300 m.
• Go left up the track through the vineyards (panoramic view over the Thongue plain). Further on, cross the road (take care), pass a wine-press and take the pine alley leading to Domaine de Brescou. Turn right, cross the road again (with care) and continue straight ahead through the vineyards.
• Take the second track on the right and, at the next junction, continue left (panoramic view of the Causse d'Aumelas opposite). Go downhill towards Château de la Baume, skirting it to join the D 125. Before the road, turn right along the vineyard path for about 500 m, then continue along the roadside for 15 m (be careful).
• Cross the road and turn left onto the track. After a mazet, the track bends to the right and leads to a road; turn left for 300 m. Turn right and stay on the main track for 800 m, skirting almond trees and vines.
• Turn right and follow the vines to the right (please do not walk between the rows). At the end, go down and join a path. Climb to the left, then turn right on the slopes of Le Travers, via the sports trail, with panoramic views over the Caux plain (follow the signs). Reach the orientation table offering a remarkable panorama (picnic tables). Follow the trail through the vineyards.
• At the intersection, turn left and, 300 m further on, go right towards the Bourdic estate. Pass over the estate and join a small road. Climb to the right and immediately fork left.
• At the irrigation pump, turn right, then reach a road. Turn left twice, then right.
• At the olive trees, turn left and continue along rue du Moulin (access to the windmill on the right). Continue towards Alignan-du-Vent via Rue des Tioulets. At Plan de la Croix, turn left into rue des Aires to reach the parking lot, then the Cave Coopérative for a wine tasting.
