Hiking at the Appy pond - Ariège
A very nice out-and-back hike, with magnificent views of the Ariege Pyrenees and a nice break on the banks of the Appy pond.
About 2h15 for the ascent and 1h45 for the descent.
The hike is on a relatively steep climb, but which is ultimately fairly steady and without major difficulties.
The lower part is more stony and rocky. The end of the descent on the way back can actually be a bit difficult.
The middle section offers superb panoramas, especially at the level of the big rock overlooking the valley, with views of the Massif de l'Aston, the Pic de Rulhe or even in the distance the Pic Carlit.
The last part on the flat to reach the pond is pleasant. With a divine break at the edge of the fresh water.
