Tour of the Couserans and greenway from Saint-Lizier
A technical, physical and magnificent first part, and a quiet return along the Salat.
Distance 23.5 km
The first part of the itinerary follows the route of the Grand Tour du Couserans VTT. The paths are stony, with fairly steep gradients, on the ridges or in the valley. The landscapes are magnificent with views of the Pyrenees (Mont Valier, Guzet...) and superb passages in the countryside.
.A section of road allows you to make the junction downhill on another section on the way to join the Salat.
From there, the return journey is made quietly along the Salat on the Foix-Saint-Girons greenway in recovery mode.
Author’s recommendation
A fairly physical and technical route on the first part, which requires good mountain biking skills.
