Eurovelo 6 or the "Rivers road" allows to connect France to Romania, it crosses France from Pays de la Loire to Alsace and this route goes from Montreux-Jeune to Huningue in Alsace.

From the Franche-Comté to Switzerland, the EuroVelo 6 crosses Alsace alongside the Rhine-Rhône Canal (southern section) via the impressive staircase of 12 locks of Valdieu-Lutran. Arriving at Mulhouse, still carry on to the east on the towpath to Kembs. There the itenerary leads you south along the Huningue Canal. You will leave Alsace at the Passerelle des Trois Pays (cycling and pedestrian bridge) which leads directly to Germany and Basel in Switzerland.
