An alpine classic often conjures up thoughts of bad bolts, brittle rock and tangled lines. Far from it in the southern Wetterstein: in sunny weather, the rock and temperatures are almost reminiscent of the south of France, as is the protection at times.

If you like the Wetterstein limestone and its climbing, the "Rainer-Aschenbrenner" offers another top route in bombproof rock. The great drip holes in some pitches and the grippy overhang of the key pitch are sure to delight anyone who feels comfortable on this steep terrain and difficulty ridge.

The tour is one of the newer creations on the Schüsselkarspitze and impresses with spectacular climbing in the first four pitches: overhanging passages alternate with slabs and cracks.

The "Siemens-Wolf" impresses as a pleasure or beginner's tour with all its advantages: solid rock, good protection and a sunny ambience.

Beautiful alpine but sufficiently secured climbing tour in a marvellous landscape. Climbing several times in the upper 4th grade. Ascent and descent quite comfortable when using the railway.
