Long-distance hikes in Saxon Switzerland

Among other things, the following points are reached on this tour: Schrammsteine, Schrammsteingratweg, Schrammtor, Kuhstall, Himmelsleiter, Kirnitzschtal, Großer Winterberg, Katzstein, Kipphornaussicht, Kleinsteinhöhle, Jägersteig.

The Dresden Heath variant of the Lusatian Snake long-distance hiking trail takes the pleasure hiker on an approximately 70 km long tour, starting from the spa town of Rathen üvia the Dresden Heath to Bühlau. Numerous attractions and a varied landscape await us along the way. 

This northern Süd variant of the Lusatian Snake long-distance hiking trail leads from Valtenburg in around 40 km through the varied Elbe Sandstone Mountains and ends in Saupsdorf.

 Trekking in Saxon-Bohemian Switzerland     The trekking route marked in yellow begins at the Schöna train station on the river Elbe, runs 100 km to the left of the Elbe predominantly along forest trails and paths as well as logging trails through the bordering forests of Saxon-Bohemian Switzerland, crosses 13 table mountains and ends in Bad Schandau – A complete experience with opportunities for overnight stays in trekking huts and at bivouac sites.

Three highlights await you during the leg of your trek from the Rotsteinhütte to Nikolsdorf: The little known Schneeberg view at Katzstein, the panoramic view of Lampertsstein Mountain and the Nikolsdorf rock labyrinth.

Starting in Schöna it goes over the Mittelhangweg Elbaufwärts to the Gelobtbachtal. Along the Gelobt- and later the Hertelsgrundbach starts to climb on the Zschirnstein, which one leaves on small paths and paths again. After passing through the first accommodation: the Zschirnsteinbivacco, following the border on narrow paths and some streams and valleys, such as the Schindelbaudenflüsschen and the Krippenbach across the day's goal, the Grenzbaude contrary.
