Grotte de la Troisième

Grotte de la Troisième is a cave located near the Kéré tribe on Route de l’Aérodrome. The cave is quite difficult to access: you have to drive down a long, narrow track through the forest to reach it. Once you get there, you’ll find parking for no more than 2 or 3 cars. Then you have to cross very rugged terrain to reach the cave on foot—make sure you're wearing closed shoes. You can scour the site for “bulimes”, the island’s famous native snails that like to hide in fallen leaves.

Inside the cave is a large freshwater pool surrounded by stalactites and stalagmites.

Entry is free but you can make a gold coin donation at the entrance.

Diving in la Troisième cave is difficult in wet weather.
It is reserved for experienced divers with good physical capacity ( Minimum N2 with more than 50 dives under their belt).
