From the steeply rising hills of the Tihany peninsula, we paddle along the reeds to the open beach of the hedges, and from there we paddle around the western half of the peninsula in the immediate vicinity. Away from the noise of the beach, you can witness the hustle and bustle of unspoilt nature as you make your way along the reed beds, home to a variety of creatures that occasionally show themselves to visitors. The towering forests and unspoilt surroundings will make you forget that you are hiking in one of the most popular areas of Lake Balaton. By the end of the hike, you are guaranteed to have a different perspective on the beauty of Lake Balaton. A much quieter, more measured and closer to nature perspective.
