Turn-by-turn directions
Stage 1 - La Grenouillère
Here you will come across some reproductions of Impressionist paintings. This trail is on the “path of the Impressionists” which displays around thirty paintings by artists who have lived or stayed in the region. Continue along the Seine on Berge de la Prairie. Pass under Bougival bridge, where Quai de l’Ecluse takes you towards Le Pecq.
Stage 2 - La Coulée Verte (greenway)
You pass close to the water supply ponds where an area has been set aside for the protection of wildlife. When you reach Le Pecq, continue on Quai de l'Orme Sully. Go under Le Pecq bridge, you'll see Ile Corbière on your left.
Continue along the towpath.
Stage 3 - Parc Départemental de la Boucle de Montesson
The Montesson loop regional park is a protected space of 20 hectares which is home to a vast number of bird species. Continue on the towpath, where the cycle path will take you to Sartrouville. From the quayside, take the bridge across the River Seine towards Maisons Laffitte.
Stage 4 - The Château de Maisons-Laffitte
Take Avenue Louvois on your right, then Avenue Lenôtre. Turn left into Avenue Carnot, then right onto Avenue du Général Leclerc. Take Avenue Albine and go straight on, towards Saint Germain. Take Route Forestière des Pavillons into the forest.
Stage 5 - Saint-Germain National Forest
Next, turn right into Route de la Vente Friteuse, which takes you to the intersection of several paths.
(Bonus: If you continue a short distance on Route Forestière des Pavillons instead of turning right, you’ll come across the Pavillon de la Muette, an old hunting pavilion that was owned by Louis XIV. The site can be visited on several dates during the summer months.)
At the junction, take the path on your left, between Route de la Vente Friteuse and Route du Bout du Monde
Stage 6 - Etang du Corra
Continue straight ahead on Route du Corra, then turn right onto Route de la Ferme, then left onto Route Madame, which takes you close to the lake and bird sanctuary of Etang du Corra.
At the end of the path, turn right to join the main road, then left at Cité de Garenne. Continue left on Allée des Tamaris, then join Avenue de Saint Germain.
Finally, cross the Seine river back to Conflans-Sainte-Honorine.
