Distance: 9 km - Duration: 2h35
The small town of Béhuard is the only one situated on an island in the Loire. The landscapes you will contemplate have helped to make the Loire Valley a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Take a stroll around this island on the banks of the Loire to discover the Chapelle Notre Dame and its Vierge sur le Rocher (Virgin on the Rock), and follow the interpretation trails to find out more about the history of the area. A natural, wild and peaceful island, you're sure to fall under Béhuard's spell!
Hiking on the hillsides of Savennières
Distance: 9.1 km - Duration: 2 hours 40 minutes
This walking trail takes in the different landscapes of the Loire along paths and tracks with varying gradients. The highlight of the walk is the Savenières vineyards, famous for their dry wines. Don't hesitate to meet the winemakers for a tasting session.
Savennières also boasts a number of historic treasures, including Saint-Pierre-Saint-Romain church, whose nave dates back to the 10th century!

This slightly longer walk offers nature lovers a chance to get away from it all! Treat yourself to one of the finest views of the wild river, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where the Maine and Loire rivers meet.
A walk through the Basses Vallées Angevines, teeming with rich flora and fauna. There's also La Pointe, a charming village marked by its former inland waterway activity, its water mills, its launderette...
Walk from the Marcillé plateau to the towpath

On this walking trail along the banks of the River Mayenne, you can admire the magnificent scenery of the Anjou countryside! Walk as far as the Roussière lock and along the towpath. Along the way, you can also discover the authentic mill and the Château de Sautré.
Sit down for lunch in a guinguette or have a picnic at the port of Pruillé. Just the way we like it!
Loop on the banks of the Loir

Immerse yourself in the Basses Vallées Angevines! This trail offers a beautiful walk in a green setting on the banks of the Loir. Keep your eyes peeled for herons, pretty gorgonians and fields of daisies.
You'll also have the chance to visit the Château de Villevêque and its water mill, whose exhibition is sure to attract the attention of children and adults alike. If you follow the itinerary, you will of course arrive at the ferry to cross the Loir. All you have to do is pull the chain and you're on your way!
