The famous vineyard of Savennières, leaned on the Loire, is well-known for its dry wines and has three “appelations d'origine contrôlée” (equivalent of “protected designation of origin”): “Savennières”, “Roche aux Moines” and “Coulée de Serrant”.

- The market town of Savennière is structured around the Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Romain church, considered as the oldest Christian standing construction in Anjou.
- La pierre bécherelle, located downstream of the confluence of the Maine and Loire rivers and facing the north peak of the Béhuard island, is an enormous and very old natural monolith, now a climbing area.
- The picturesque little market town of Epiré is located between Savennières and Bouchemaine. Its old church is now a private property sheltering the wine cellar of the Château d’Epiré wine estate.
This hike is very enjoyable in spring and at the end of summer as you can discover the various steps of the vineyards work.
