Last Saturday I had dinner at the Liberty’s Restaurant at the Upper Eastside Hotel.
Sounds like a short trip to New York, but in fact the Upper Eastside Hotel is in Cape Town.
Something you would not expect in Woodstock at all. But the upper reaches of Woodstock are already know as the heart of the “Design Capital”.
The hotels and restaurant interior provides what they call a discreetly glamourous atmosphere.
The Liberty’s Restaurant menu selection made it very difficult for us to pick something for dinner, it was just so good. So the four of us ended up with a range of different things on our plates and all of us were very happy campers. The food is awesome.
Executive chef Simon Kemp has made the Upper Eastside kitchen his creative home and his handmade burgers are know as legendary. And my hamburger was excellent.
The service is good, friendly and fast.
So I can only recommend this place and would suggest you check it out yourself. The website
