(September 2017) Cape Town – myUTOPIA has added yet another yoga form to its immense portfolio, Waterman yoga as presented Chris Vlok, and this one’s for the boys. At R 220 per person at the V&A Waterfront Pavilion, the premium lifestyle yoga, Pilates and barre studio will be hosting a launch event to kick off the new classes on Tuesday, 22 August and invites all for an evening of yoga, light snacks by Nourish, craft beers by Jack Black Brewing Co., cosmetic treatments by Red Dane and surprise giveaways.
Waterman yoga is aimed at leveraging the benefits of a good and consistent yoga practice for improvement in ability in other lifestyle fields. The class is designed to strengthen and stretch both body and mind in a way that is geared towards overall improvement of performance in water sports where stamina and breath control are vital. The class focuses on elements such as stability, strength, balance, flexibility, and mental focus, all of which play crucial roles in making a well-rounded waterman. And of course, talk of the best barrels, surf adventures and the like is more than welcome.
Waterman Yoga will be added to the timetable on Tuesdays at 19:15 in the heated studio. Don’t bring a thing as organic mats, a bottle of water and sweat towel are provided for each class, as well as refreshing essential oil towel for after your workout.
