Friday, 26 September, 17h00 – 20h00, The Vineyard Hotel, Newlands
Make a toast to the new season with exceptional cool climate Strandveld Vineyards Sauvignon Blancs when you visit the Wine Concepts Seductive Sauvignons Festival on Friday, 26 September at The Vineyard Hotel.
Visitors can taste both the 2013 vintages of the Strandveld as well as First Sighting Sauvignon Blancs from Africa’s southernmost winery. Made from four distinct vineyard blocks, the 2013 First Sighting Sauvignon Blanc expresses the typical Elim terroir fingerprint of minerality and buchu. The Strandveld “Pofadderbos” Single Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc 2013 boasts big tropical fruit flavours on the nose and is creamy and full on the palate with an oyster shell minerality complemented by the wine’s natural acidity.
Strandveld Vineyards is located in the exciting Elim wine ward renowned for outstanding cool climate Sauvignon Blanc – as attested by the highly respected international wine commentator, UK Master of Wine Jancis Robinson: “The decidedly cool Elim, near Cape Agulhas, is clearly capable of making notably fine Sauvignon Blanc.”
With more than enough reason not to miss out on tasting and buying these outstanding wines, be sure to visit the Wine Concepts Seductive Sauvignons Festival where Strandveld Vineyards will join top wine producers on Friday, 26 September at The Vineyard Hotel.
Tickets are available at www.webtickets.co.za at R160 per person or R170 at the door and include a wine glass and snacks.
