“Boxing on the Bay” event in Camps Bay

We had a fun night out last Saturday at the “Boxing on the Bay” event in Camps Bay.

This was the second boxing event at the Rotunda in the Bay Hotel and it was even better than the first one.

Yes, there were some African moments in regards of planning and flow of the event, but that also added to the charme of the event.

Most importantly we saw very good boxing fights with technical skilled athletes.

Highlights of the evening was the World Boxing Federation (WBF) international light weight title fight between South African title holder Vusumzi Tyatyeka and Hungarian challenger Gyrgy Mizsei. (Vusumzi Tyatyeka won)

And Joseph Martey of Ghana took on South Africa’s Mzuvukile Magwaza for the WBF Africa title in the junior flyweight division (Joseph Martey lost).Continue Reading …
