Stay fit and healthy during Winter

It’s official – winter has clearly arrived in Cape Town. It’s cold, it’s dark and it’s depressing.

How on earth are we supposed to get even slightly excited about exercising when all we want to do is stay in bed?

I’m sure after a tough day at the office, you’d much rather plonk yourself down on the couch with a warm blanket, sip on some hot chocolate and zone into the world of 7de Laan, or catch up on the day’s rugby highlights. Am I right?

Maybe you really do enjoy exercising and the highlight of your day is to just let go of your stress and run your heart out on the treadmill.

This sounds all good and well, but somehow you just can’t be bothered to schlep to the gym in the pouring rain, strip off the layers of your warm clothes in the change-room – only to wait in line for your turn on the treadmill or bike.
