Table Mountain closed at night
Can you believe it?
This news really made me upset this week. The City of Cape Town has decided to close Table Mountain and Signal Hill to vehicles at night. In the time between 10pm and 5am the roads will be closed for private traffic to prevent crime.
And a fine of R 1500 is to pay if you use the roads in that time without special permission.
The idea is that fewer cars and therefore less people on Table Mountain roads would lower crime rate. Really?Continue Reading …

Sometimes in life we get tested physically and for me today was one of those days!
This hike has been one of the toughest I have done this year as well as one of most spectacular in terms of views and all round experience.
I set off with a great pace and I reached the first plateau in just 30mins.I thought I was making great time until I rounded the corner and reached the bottom of Llandudno ravine(half the distance in the same amount of time!).
