Definition: The study or skill of preparing mixed drinks. Mixology is another term for mixing drinks or bartending and a Mixologist is another term for a bartender or bar chef. Mixology is generally accepted as a slang term for a refined and in depth study of the art and craft of mixing.
Why I start this blog post with this you might ask? Well, we all appreciate a good cocktail and the vibe in a bar, but do you know that it takes a while to become a good Mixologist, aka bartender? (I once had a girlfriend who was a bartender and… but that is a different story for another time ;-))
So a good bartender needs to know all the different tastes of drinks to make a good cocktail out of it. Now today I got a press release for a new taste on the market. The new product is called Pink Pigeon Premium Vanilla Rum and that sounds quite promising.
Here a part of the press release:
Inspiring bartenders, cocktail connoisseurs and even novice mixologists with its complex yet smooth flavours, The Pink Pigeon ‘rules the roost’ when it comes to creating killer cocktails. Incredibly versatile and easy to drink, this spirit is distilled with the purest of rum and the addition of the world’s finest natural vanilla. Made from only the best ingredients, fresh orange peel gives Pink Pigeon it’s zingy edge, while delicate orchid petals release floral, honey notes.
So if you like cocktails (I do) you should try this out (I will) and let me know if you like it.
BTW: The Pink Pigeon Premium Vanilla Rum is available at select premium liquor distributors as well as nightlife hotspots nationwide.
